This wedding is filled with so many simple and sweet touches that are important to the bride and groom and also happen to be super stylish and environmentally friendly as well. They used herbs instead of flowers on their centerpieces that also doubled as favors along with the homemade strawberry jam jars, they brought a food truck to serve dinner and a superhero tribute from the groom and his crew are a clear indication that the couple just made the wedding all about themselves.... I just love that. But, my favorite detail has to be the vintage Vera Neumann floral napkins Larissa collected for every place setting...adorable! And what can I say about the color palette, you know I'm in-love-with all things purple, but when you bring into the mix hues of orange..the result is pure colorful wedding magic. Figlewicz Photography captured all the goodness and shared it with us!
How did you two meet? Tony and I met on the beach playing volleyball. I still
like to tease him to remind him that my team beat his team that day ;)
But this was the start or our relationship, which has evolved into not
only playing beach volleyball together (yes, now we play on the same
team), but to flag football, softball, hiking with Gunner, our love of
our life (our dog) and camping. Being active is a very important part
of our relationship, as well as spending the majority of our time with
our friends and family
How did you come up with the style of your wedding? This was the
easiest part as we both wanted to have a causal, fun wedding. We
definitely wanted to surprise our guests with our food selections with
the food trucks, our selection of music, and our first dance, which we
took swing lessons for. We wanted it to reflect who we are as a couple
and I think we accomplished that.
What's the story behind the superman t-shirts? Tony is a huge comic
book geek, Spiderman being his favorite. I still catch him watching
Spiderman cartoons on Saturday mornings ;) We thought it would be fun
to have all the guys pick their favorite comic book hero to hide under
their suits. It was so fun to see them all dancing at the end of the
evening in their superhero t-shirts.
What was your favorite moment? Our favorite
moment, was during dinner we had the most amazing sunset, featuring a
double rainbow that filled the sky above us. It was really
breathtaking!

ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!! I would love to know what the flowers are in the bouquet.
ReplyDeleteHi Mary Alice, I saw someone on pinterest saying that they are dahlias. But, I'm pretty sure they're zinnias. I grow zinnias in my garden. But, don't take my word for it. Check this post and judge for yourself: http://www.bellethemagazine.com/2011/08/pretty-summer-blooms.html
