Engagement Session : Boating Frolic at the Lake

For our next feature we are going from charming Italy to romantic Canada.... It looks like it's an international day here at Belle! This little british Columbia Engagement Session by Meg Courtney Photography is incredibly magical. Possibly because it was taken at the exact spot where Owen proposed to Kahla - boating on a lake as the sun went behind the mountains, in one of the most beautiful views I've ever seen. It could be because the couple looks devastatingly in love. Perhaps it is because it's photos like these that make me miss the summer months. Whatever it may be, the combination is utterly breathtaking and you must see all of the images.
From the photographer... "Owen took Kahla for a ride in his little fishing boat in June, to their favorite spot just outside of "Cosens Bay" on Kalamalka Lake, in Vernon, British Columbia, Canada. They beached the boat, and sat on the rocks watching the sun set over the rolling hills of the Okanagan Valley and when the moment was right, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry her - Everything about it was perfect. For their engagement session they wanted to go back to the place he asked her, so we piled in the little fishing boat and rode out to the spot on the rocks - We took photos as the sun went behind the mountains, in one of the most beautiful hidden spots I have ever seen. The Okanagan is filled with breathtaking views and has so many amazing options for destination couples. I thought this shoot showcased some of the beauty that the Okanagan Valley has to offer! "
