Yellow + Grey Contemporary Wedding in Florida

Melissa & Stephen’s gorgeous, sophisticated, and not to mention, extremely contemporary wedding, gave us some food for thought… It was not long ago that we believed fresh flowers were a must have at a wedding ceremony, from the bridesmaids bouquets to the wedding altar. We also believed that a cake had to be traditional, which at times seemed insipid. But, this Tampa Bay wedding, defies all traditional beliefs and we are extremely ecstatic to throw them out the window and introduce a new era of fabulous weddings!
Let us begin with one of our favorite parts of this exquisite wedding, the color scheme, yellow + gray. The variations of yellow & gray hues give these nuptials a sense of sophistication with a hint of chic and it is all thanks to the magical work by wedding planner, Premier Style Events. Because there are so many aspects of this wedding to love, we will begin with our swooning over the wedding alter, which is made from paper pinwheels, can we say a-do-ra-ble! This idea is not only very unique, but adds charisma, and a whole lot of fun to traditional wedding alters. In the spirit of pinwheels, we will continue with the wedding cake! This succulent, and not to mention, fabulous cake is simplistic with tons of flair that makes it unique and one of our favorites,
Moving on to the wedding venue, The Westin Tampa Bay, the marvelous nuptials took place on the 7th floor sky terrace and may we mention the contemporary all white chair setup was divine with pops of yellow & gray tones, but it would not have been possible without the works of event designer, MMD Events. Once the duo said their “I do’s,” the wedding party headed to the top floor for cocktails, dinner & a whole lot of dancing where they were greeted by stunning table settings, along with a very cute candy bar.
But, this remarkable wedding would not be complete without of course, a beautiful bride to leave us breathless with her gorgeous organza layered gown accompanied by a gray sash adorned with jewels. And, let’s not forget about the bridal party, instead of a bouquet of flowers they carried giant paper flowers that were not only stylish, but functional as well, being used as the finishing touches to the head table.
But, of course, we are only able to ooooh and ahhhh over this spectacular wedding through the very talented and amazing lens of Carrie Wildes Photography; we thank you capturing this very inspiring + breathtaking wedding that we are totally enamored with!
