Southern + Contemporary Wedding

What do you get when Southern meets contemporary with a dash of summertime fun? A spectacular wedding dreamed up by the gorgeous bride herself! But, with a stunning vision of this magnitude, blonde beauty Lindsay could not have done it without the help of her wedding dream team who worked collectively to whip up the wedding of her dreams. One particular member of this ingenious squad was Damon Tucci Photography, who took us through the amazing journey of Lindsay & Matt as if we were actually in attendance. The beautiful day begins with a romantic candlelit ceremony filled with neutral, warm ivory, white, & gold hues that complement the interspersed french provision, chiavari, and market chairs that infused an eclectic, contemporary feel to a traditional, Southern wedding. But, the true focal point of these stunning Florida nuptials was the ravishing bride and her equally stunning Anne Barge wedding gown that was love at first sight with breathtaking details that give it a Southern, traditional feel. Lindsay received a piece of advice from her sister that really resonated with her and that was, “think of what Matt would think of the dress.” Lindsay’s sister’s advice was golden, as Lindsay approached her future husband, he whispered to her, “it is exactly what I imagined it to be.”

After officially becoming husband & wife, Lindsay + Matt welcomed their guests to dining area that was set up to have a more restaurant feel to it, opposed to a linear table arrangement. Being that the beautiful bride is not only Italian, but also a foodie, she was very adamant about a “no distractions” dinner. Since the ambience was a restaurant feel, the floor plan was designed to accommodate tables of different sizes & structures, completely adorned with eclectic flower arrangements for a more contemporary look. After wining & dining their guests, Lindsay and Matt opted for a curtain drop to reveal a surprise club/lounge reception area for their guests to dance the night away.
After getting to know Lindsay a little bit more, we instantly fell in love with her bubbly, vibrant, and very sweet personality. When we asked what was one of her favorite moments of this special day, her response was to have the ability to give her guests memorable moments in which they can look back and remember her wedding specifically for its uniqueness. One unique aspect was the versatility of musical entertainment- combining a live DJ with a drummer to keep guests dancing the night away.

Lindsay offers this particular advice to our future brides, have a vision in mind along with a budget, seek vendors that you can express your vision to, but also give them the leeway to use their experience to execute it. “When vendors are held too tightly in a box they cannot use their experience to create your vision.”
