Santa Barbara Rooftop Wedding

There is an old saying that rain on your wedding day means you will have a strong marriage since a wet knot is harder to untie. But, not even the rain could bring this sweet, Texan couple down on their big-day!  These college sweethearts knew exactly how they envisioned their big day and it included lots of lovely oranges and coral hues (They went to UT Austin... Can you tell?). The ceremony took place at the amazing Santa Barbara Courthouse, and the rooftop at the Canary Hotel was the perfect location for this modern celebration.

The beautiful bride, Amy, walked down the aisle with a simple, yet classy J Crew dress and an unbreakable smile. I love the lovely Petit Four wedding cake, the cute "ombre" bridesmaid dresses, the date sewn in blue in the wedding dress lining and the umbrellas - although these were not in the original plan, they ended up being a fashion statement instead of a burden. And the first glance moment on the stairs... adorable!  Chelsea Elizabeth sure did an amazing job capturing this occasion and the entire unforgettable day perfectly.

As a result of the rain, they had to add clear tent which actually made the reception very intimate and cozy while still surrounded with all of the beautiful views of rooftop. Imagine the rain hitting the clear top with the intense blue sky blanketed around. I'm sure it was a very magic and romantic night.
A fun and carefree afternoon at the Canary rooftop was the perfect set-up for a romantic day-after shot.
